Well we don’t put pressure on releasing albums as it really is about making music that reflects life. So we had some life living to do before making any recording plans. Then this summer we were filled with inspiration and finished writing a collection of songs that seemed to be a nice fit together. Stay tuned about our 5th full length album and other plans! Hmm to produce this one ourselves or find someone who is a good fit for both our sound and musical journey is the next question!
Here are a few words Dee had to say about the amazing Festival of Small Halls Ontario!
Festival of Small Halls Ontario show last night opening for Stephen Fearing in Sydenham was magical from start to finish. One memory stands out for Kris and I though and it didn’t happen on the stage. Before the show the artists, stage and sound crew were treated to a beautiful home cooked meal in the basement of Grace Hall in a space that serves as the Seniors’ Day Program on week days. The woman who made our food knew all about the program and described the structure of their joyous, meaningful and civilized days. Their pictures with their names were proudly hung on the wall. The same faces a city may have forgotten. Smiling all of them. Characters all of them. Some laughing and wearing crazy hats. Some smiling and displaying something they had built or made. A painting. A craft. The woman had set up the space restaurant-style with little cafe tables seating four, wine and sparkling water at each. Homemade bread, soup, salad, chili, desserts. She welcomed us at the door of her makeshift restaurant and there we all ate together before curtain time. That communal energy and togetherness. Those special touches. That’s what the Festival of Small Halls is all about.

Be on a stage near you soon!
The City of Kingston launches the “I am…” video and humanizes the very real problem of homelessness in our city. We are very honoured that our song Cold Chisel is the backdrop to this powerful and moving video. Visit cityofkingston.ca/housing for details about Kingston’s 10 year housing plan.

We never stop believing that the best part of playing music is the people we get to meet that we would otherwise not ever know! Without our little east coast tour this summer we would not have met Jeff Boudreau (ECMA winner and amazing guy!) and had the chance to appear in the 180th episode of Jeff’s Musical Car driving around Moncton and playing a song. xo (filmed on Sept. 21 2015)

Well that was fun talking to Ken Eastwood and the folks at Rogers Daytime London who had us setup to play live outside at the gates of The Western Fair. Beautiful big blue sky… hmm sounds like a good time to play Beach.
